Help How to recieve e-mail only on gmail, not gmail and e-mail???

On my captivate I am receiving two notifications for one email. One notification in my gmail and the other in email. Is there a way for me to only receive mail in my gmail and only get notified by gmail??

In settings for the default e-mail app, did you try "check e-mail frequency" and set it to "never". Maybe that would do it.

Why did you set up your gmail in both apps? The gmail app is push and the email app is fetch. Delete one of them.

I personally have all my email picked up by gmail..then I only need the gmail client without the built in email client on the device even configured

Email app > Menu > Accounts > long press acct you want to delete and select REMOVE ACCT in context menu
