Just rooted yesterday (was on 2.1 OTA), and ho-lee-shit, I love my phone now. Provided the process works for you, you will not be sorry at all!

I still think yours may be easier. The new way is great, but I like the PC aspect of it. And keep in mind how many people your thread has helped/is helping/will help.

EU1 is the mac daddy! That process looks long, but I think it's because of all the pictures. That method looks nearly bulletproof and is universal. Wow!

Yeah, but don't tell surgeon, he worked hard on his fantastic write-up and support; I think he's sensitive right now...delicate too. Since he and I are both Texans, I suppose I should offer to help him find EU1 to take him outside and beat the crap out of him.

Yes. As well as following the process laid out by surgeon. Depends on what you prefer, EU1's process does not involve a computer, or driver, SDK installs, etc.
