Root How to root Micromax A25 by Mastermind

hey i rooted it but then deleted some bloatware using root explorer and now my phone is hanging at the boot screen,.. some one help me please.. now itself..plz..
 
here i will explain it..
i rooted my phone successfully.. then installed root explorer and started deleting system apps.. that included mstore, mlive and finally without knowing A25 launcher..ie mlabs launcher..
now i get back from the explorer.. find everything going black.. for a moment i feared and rebooted and my phone started stucking at the end of the booting process..
so now flashed the stock rom with preloader and dsp_bl unchecked and now it is not at all booting..
any body explain how to reflash back either to stock rom or any other way..
fast please ..

hey mastermind i just bought mmx a25 but when ever i try to flash recovery or root it shows some kind of error like partition image size change ...is there any solution for it may be mmx have added some functions in it ...plz try if u can fix it ....it will be very helpful ....
 
hey can u fix the error ....it says partition size changed while flashing the boot image....
it sucks i have tried everything in my hand ...
 
I have finally rooted my new A25 :thumb:

This what i did..
1. I used an OTG cable to connect the phone as MTK USB port. (Meta Mode)
1. I flashed the old firmware files from here
2.Then flashed the CWM recovery from here courtesy - aman.droid
3. Used upadte.zip to root phone through CWM recovery. courtesy - stayboogy, If that doesn't work you could try z4root.apk

This is what worked for, i am not encouraging anybody but if your phone is bricked you could try this method nothing to loose i guess.

But for those who have phone in working condition this is little bit risky, If u dont know the basics of flashing i suggest you dont try this method coz there is a greater chance in bricking your device.

Note: you have been warned so proceed at your own risk. :deal:

hey vinton ..... I try yr method bt.....

first tell me how can u update filmware...???? with sp flash tool/ phone internal recovery mode???

I,m try with both above...
when try with phone internal recovery mode... it say " failed certificate sign filed"


&

with spflash tool it say " sp boom room......"

Buy an OTG cable it cost me around 50Rs. If u connect your phone through the OTG cable then MTK USB Port should be displayed in device manager.

After that download the old firmware files from the below link

Index of ./downloads/Micromax/A25/V2_030912/

Then load the scatter file present inside the downloaded file and everything will be automatically loaded in the SP Flash tool.

Don't click on Download Click on Firmware upgrade button. If you have used an OTG Cable and installed proper drivers then it should start flashing but after sometime it would disconnect and SP Flash tool will search for the Device, this time install the MTK DA Download Drivers.

If you have done everything correct then you should be able to flash CWM easily. But please be cautious if you have done something wrong u could brick your phone.
 
hay frnd plzzzzz help me i cnt root my a25
whn m trying to root it thn it shows error 16008 nd also shows partition size changed!!!
so now whn can i do to root my a25????????????
any 1 have solution plzzzzzzzzzz rply....
 
you can use

as a scatter file...use the boot.img provided by mastermind..
may be it won't say "error 16008 nd also shows partition size changed"..
it's working 4 new micromax a25 model!!i did it but the recovery img file only...but there was a silly mistake in procedure(driver problem)..but dont flash the recovery first!!flash the boot.img then root it..then u can easily install cwm!

and a question to you all!!what dose that actually mean "partition size changed"??is there any problem with the scatter file??i know new a25 is using MT6515 instead of MT6575...may be thats why we should change the scatter file...help me friends!!and don't give up!!I hope we can do it..I am now trying different way to do that..

No i dont think so.. Mine is a newly bought A25 even i thought it was using MT6515 chipset as mentioned in Micromax website, But guess what.. :frown: its wrong..
New A25 uses same MT6575 chipsets only.. I rooted mine using the MT6575 scatter file only..

yap!!it's MT6575!!I have checked it(turning the phone off then pressing menu button+vol Down+power button then click on version)
And will you pls tell me what was your framework version??mine is A25_0201_V0409...will this procedure work on my new a25?pls help me bro!!I have no OTG yet,but i'm gonna buy one.. :)

where can i find MTK DA Download Drivers??i have searched it on internet!!but i could not find anything named MTK DA Download Drivers!! pls help me..
 
my phone is showing the charging sign but not download i tried it many times........ i did exactly as your prescribed steps i don't know where the fault is please help he......

If u have an internet connection and an XP machine then, the drivers will automatically be installed if you connect your phone through an OTG cable. And also one more thing about OTG cable,
OTG cables have on one side a micro usb port and on the other end a female USB port ( not a Male port like in data cables) so you have to buy a USB male to male cable. I bought the OTG for 50 Rs and USB male to male for another 50. Hope it helps.

Yup thats what you will get every time even if you do everything correct... I succeeded by flashing the full firmware files using an OTG cable.. that is the only way which worked for me.. You could give it a try but its little bit risky...
