Root How to root

Finally!! Thank you so much!
couple of quick questions:

Is it yet possible to install a custom rom?
If so are there any Deodexed ROMs?
Anything I try to do states it cant be done unless a deodexed rom is installed.
Example: rom toolbox wont/cant change anything with a deodexed rom installed.
I was having trouble installing google now for the same reason but somehow got it to work.
Thanks in advance.

What was the problem you encountered, and how did you solve it? It's courteous to log these kinds of things for future users who may have the same problem.

I noted the problem in a previous post, what I did was keep trying the method. once I started the method for I think it was the 6th time, it seen Trying persistance remounting successful. then exploit completed..... this was all in the Command Prompt. I think received pop ups for super user permissions. Hope this was able to answer your question.

FYI........When I did my root I kept getting a "no such directery" error.
I figured out on windows 8 the firewall was blocking the run.bat.
Once I disabled the firewall it worked like a charm on the first shot.

eeeeeeeeeeeewwwwww windows 8 :pcguru:

I rooted my LG Connect and my LG Esteem with no problems. My LG Spirit won't root. I erased the SD card and did a data reset on the phone. I updated the USB drivers, set the phone for charge only and ran the run file from Spirited Away. The error messages said none of the directories could be created. Also, a remount was not allowed.

Any suggestions?

When I put it on USB charge only the root always fails, but when I put it on MTP it works without a hitch. I don't know why, but that's how it works for me.

do you have adb installed? make sure you got debugging on also

Root method worked for me on my Motion after factory ressetting. So if it does detect your phone, but fails to root, just factory reset.
