Help How to stop automatic updates?

A while ago, when I was accepting 13 or so market updates, it asked me if I wanted to allow all the apps to update automatically. I drunkenly hit "yes", and now I want to change this. It said I could change this back in Settings but I can't find it. Any help?

Menu/settings/system updated/htc software update/uncheck schedule check

doesn't that just disable the check for new updates? i'm saying somehow, some apps just start downloading an update right away with no prompting from me. i still want the phone to check for new updates automatically, but i don't want it to just start updating no matter what i'm doing.

So your saying when you enter your market, then settings, you don't have this:

want to say, look for the google play app, start it then when it loads if you tap thw setting button (2nd on the left next to the home button)it will bring up the menu for that app and your settings then go into the settings and uncheck update apps

SOME PEPOLE DONTKNOW THE NICK NAMES FOR SOME APPS LIKE MARKET FYI
