Root How to stop bootstrap recovery

Kelby232

Newbie
Hi all,

I have been searching the forums and could not find an answer to this. I have found plenty of people whose phones will not boot to bootstrap recovery but not any to stop it from doing so.

I used Koush's bootstrap recovery app and it worked/works perfectly. The only problem is, every time I restart my phone or charge it from the battery being dead. I have to hit restart in bootstrap recovery once to get my phone to boot. I have deleted the app itself but I still keep going back into recovery after every time.

This is the process of events either from rebooting or charging a dead phone.
1. Phone boots into clockwork mod recovery.
2. I select restart.
3. Phone restarts an either charges or fully boots to my home screen.

The above happens every time no matter what.

Not a huge issue just an annoyance that I am wondering if it can be fixed.

Thank you.

If your phone is rooted with a Liberty ROM, then it's probably displaying the same behavior that plagues my phone. If I turn my phone off, then charge all-night, and then unplug and restart, it always boots into the recovery console. It does it regardless if bootstrap recovery is installed or not. It has something to do with the ROM/usb charging. I have accepted this issue as an annoyance and I usually just put my phone on silence and recharge it overnight while it's still on. If I want to accomplish a power cycle to refresh the OS, then I just do it in the morning after I remove it from the charger.

Cheers, Nick

Yes it is an annoyance.

I am pretty sure I do not have the liberty ROM. I only installed the GB root file way back when and that's it.

Not a huge problem just looking for a solution.

Put D2 bootstrap back in your phone. Open bootstrap and click on "bootstrap recovery" but do not click "reboot recovery". Restart your phone like normal. More often than not this will solve that issue. Give it a try and see if it works on your phone.

Mine only does this once in a while so it never bothered me, I don't know why certain peoples phones do it all the time.

This did the trick thank you very much.

I tried it on mine, but it will still come back to CWR once in a while, it's not a big deal, just hit "reboot now" and that's it.
