Download and install, but dont open, wireless tether. You cant find it in the market anymore, but a quick seach will find it. Once installed use astro file manager, or any other app, and create a folder on the root of your sd card called android.tether then add this file in there fw_bcm4329.bin. Now finally open the program, you should see it say something like configs loaded, and you should be all set.
I want to tether my iPad to my incredible. Can someone lead me in the right direction. I know I have to root and get wifi app, how do I root ? And which app do I need ?

Nothing happens when I dial "##778"
Did you tap the Call button after ##778? I only ask because some folks had similar problems. Also, look at post #112 - 117, it may work for you.
Update: Just saw your post in the original thread. Did you try the soft reboot mentioned in the above posts?

I'm running the latest full release of cyanogenmod on my Dink and I can tether my MBP but not my iPad. Is there something about the iPad that may not be friendly with 3G tethering such as security? Anything about cyanogenmod that might not be friendly to the iPad?
