Help How to transfer emails to pc?

I would like to transfer emails received (inbox) on my HTC EVO to my PC (outlook) 2010. Why? I just purchased a new laptop with Windows 8 and loaded Outlook 2010 and discovered when deleting emails off my phone it was deleting them off my mail server which in-turn deleted them off my laptop (outlook).

These emails are still on my phone and I want to transfer them to my outlook.

I thought I could use the USB cable and mount the EVO as a disk drive and then copy the emails over but am having difficulty seeing/finding the emails in the "inbox".

Help please.

I am not familiar with Outlook but, wont they sync to your new computer with the Outlook mail on it?
 
you can't transfer emails like that. you can only transfer files over.

have you tried to forward yourself the emails that you need in outlook? that way it will go back to the email server and it will have a record of it.
