Root How's you battery doing on Liberty 1.5?

Apex sips, liberty 1.5 gulps power. Back on apex until it's fixed.
 
have you looked to see what is running and eating your battery? I had my wifi eating a bunch yesterday so I shut it down and went to 3G. Today, I unplugged the phone at 9am and really didnt use it much at all. 12 hours later im still at 90%. Im going to stick with this for a few more days and see what happens before heading back to Apex. Now, should Fab release the rumored 1.4 ill drop Liberty and head right back.

Anyone hear anything new about the Project Bootloader Freedom guys?

For those of you with bad battery life. Did you restore apps from market or through TIBU? If you did it through TIBU did you restore with data? If you restored data via TIBU this could cause a problem. I experienced this in the passed and now i restore app only or restore from market.

Another +1. This happened to me awhile back as well with another ROM.

Really wow? That bad Steven? I'll admit that I had better battery life with ApeX vs. Liberty, but I just can't bring myself back. In fact, I just flashed back to ApeX a little while ago since I've not run it in awhile. But Im flashing right now back to Liberty. Its just better for me overall. Will see what Fab does with 1.4.

Were you able to trace the gulps to an app(s)?

No, I was at the gym on the elliptical for and was long a LOT of power, so I just restored apex 1.3.1

That's a shame man, but I know you have to run what works best for you. Im hoping that the bugs in the current Liberty get fixed soon. The notification thing is really annoying me.

But yeah, battery life has been better for me on 1.5 vs. 1.0. Will keep you posted.

I wasn't drunk when I wrote that. What I started to say was that I was on the elip bopping up and down at the highest setting for an hour burning 1025 calories, but I didn't want to boast so I changed it... poorly, though.

I saw the power was draining, so I just did a restore of ApeX. I didn't notice the power drainer. I figured you'd do that for me. ;)
 
We swung by iHop (gift card) and I had some very salty popcorn shrimp (1230 calories), followed by plain popcorn and a movie, then threw a couple of ribeyes on the grill (which flared up). Waaay too much salt.

I wouldn't mind being drunk now tho. :D
 
Today my battery drain was not bad at all. Around 6:00 pm I was at 70% and now at 10:00 pm I'm still at 70%. I will say this was under lite usage today, but still seemed to do better today.

What problems are you having with the notifications? I know on my POP3 email account it is constantly notifying me and I have it set to only notify when a new message comes in but seems like it keeps on over and over until I finally check it. I just turned on the sound notification, because it was driving me nuts.

I'm still on Liberty 1.0 and i have the same issue. It will keep alerting me of the same email untill i delete it or check it. And sometimes if i just delete it, it might come back again so i have to open it up then delete it. Not all the time but regularly.
 
The things that have been using my battery today are Cell Standby with 10 hours and 15 minutes and Phone Idle with 9 hours and 50 minutes. Also, Display has been using it with 24 minutes....

I have my display on auto brightness and I'm usually able to keep WiFi and GPS on, but with this ROM, I need to turn both off to get through a whole day. Honestly, I made sure I BARELY touched my phone today just to see how long it would last, and it's pitiful. With 24 minutes of display actually being on I am down to 30%. I mean sure, it's been off the charger for 10 hours and 30 minutes, but honestly, I didn't get to play with this thing at all! Grr..

Maybe it was caused by rogue data via TiBu. I did restore all of my data instead of actually allowing it to reinstall via market. At this exact moment in time, I'm going to reinstall 1.5 and just let Google restore my apps and whatever ones it doesn't restore, I will restore ONLY the app via TiBu. The thing is, I knew TiBu causes some of those problems when you back up and restore the data, but I just assumed it was a problem with certain ROMs and not actually the data that causes it to go rogue on me.

I'll report back on Monday night to let you know how the battery life lasts Super Bowl Sunday and the following day.
 
This is an issue and needs to be looked into, imo. Has anyone contacted the devs? I might shoot a pm over to jrummy.

Edit: I just tweeting jrummy16 on twitter to come over here and check it out. I surely would like to use this rom (I've deleted it for ApeX at this point). I certainly paid enough for it.
 
I encountered an odd situation with this.. Well, you know how your apps restore via Google's backup? Well, they decided not to restore this time around, and I don't know what to do. The only way I can install the apps I know without data is to go ONE by ONE in TiBu. Ughhhhhhh.

Anyway to get it to force a sync of your apps on your cloud?
 
I decided to see how my battery would run because I drained it quickly after spending a morning playing with new settings and checking out 1.5. Yesterday was a normal day...texted many times, played a game for a few minutes, regular push email, etc. Left if off charger overnight and my stats show 1D 1h 53m 12s since last unplugged. I'm at 30%.

That is the longest that I have ever seen on this phone. I do have my phone set at 1.3 gHz ULV when screen is on and underclocked 900 mHz when screen is off. I do not notice lag when turning the screen on. Take this for what it's worth.
 
Ive been running for about 6 hours today off the charger. Listened to pandora on the way to work for 20 minutes, spend about an hour total on the internet browsing sent a fe text messages and tasked to the wifey for about 15 mins and I'm still at 70 percent. Barry life seems the best o on this rom so far, comparable to rubix but much much better than tranquility or any other blur based rom. Kejar base rocks

I just put my phone on the charger at the 15% low battery warning and my total usage since last charge was 32 1/2 hours. I have never had a smartphone I own last this long. I don't understand why some people are getting a huge drain and I'm getting great battery life. It's always been the opposite for me.

Damn wish mine was that good. Did you sbf prior to installing this Tom?
 
Nobody has indicated they completely drained their battery and charged. Isn't that the first step when you have issues regarding battery longevity.
