Accessories HTC 2150 + Dremel + VZW Red Case

Can the verizon bodyglove case be modified for the 2150mAh battery? I would assume so..but...?
The back of the Bodyglove will be pretty close to level with the back of the 2150 mAh battery. The main problem I see is that it has a rubberized coating that will probably tend to peel if a cut edge is left exposed. I'm thinking about cutting mine and gluing on a new back (maybe with a sheet of red plastic laminated underneath so it has a red strip showing, just for pretty). It'll be bulky, but should protect the device well.

Dang I forgot the bodyglove has the layer of "grip" that probably would peel off...

It's tough to guess with unknown cases and 3500mAH batteries. I'd love to try, but I'd run the risk of flushing money down the drain for both of us.

Don't try to mod the tough case. I did today and didn't get good results. Modding the hard plastic part is simple enough, but once you mod the silicone skin too it doesn't fit right. The volume button becomes hard to push and it overall has a difficult time fitting together.

So don't waste your case :D
Looks like I'll be trying something else.

I wanted to thank everyone in this thread for showing their modified cases for the extended battery 2150. Below are my pics....

I just got the extended 2150 battery and bought the High Gloss Black Silicone cover for $12.00 with my 25% discount. I modified the silicone cover so it fits the extended battery perfectly. I used a pair of scissors for the straight lines and then switched to a pair of curved scissors for the corner parts. I am really happy the way it turned out. I was expecting the 2150 to stick out farther in the back but it is hardly noticible. It also adds a nice weight to the phone since I thought the phone was too light before.

I know that HTC sells the extended silicone cover now for the ext battery but it costs $19.00 and I think my modified one is just a good and saved me money.

Just got a green innocase active back from Dr. Pheta. It looks great and fits my phone just fine, I'd never be able to know it wasn't from an assembly line if I hadn't sent it to him myself.

If I find another camera, I'll post some pictures.

Please do hikarius would love to see final product.

Definitely was too tired to remember I could take pictures with my SLR

Here you go folks. They're a bit noisy due to the ISO I was using and the last pic could have been a smaller aperture, but I think it still shows the overall thickness pretty well. They're also rather large, so I left them in hyperlink as to not inconvenience anyone.

Thanks for the pics Hikarius!! Looks great! Awesome job Pheta... what do you charge? The awesome job you did with the active might be what finally convinces me to go with the 2150

damn thats sharp looking. what is that button looking thing on the battery cover?

Thats the metal disk for the TETRAX car mount. Its a magnetic system so I simply have to get in my car and set my phone on it. It holds it there strongly until I need it, and then I just pull it off.

drPheta mod to the Seidio Innocase active in white cover just done to mine. Love it!!

My lines aren't as perfect as his, but I left enough material to come back and fix them tomorrow, as is, I'm beat. One person, two kids, three jobs... I'm out for the count tonight.

I've been wanting to purchase the HTC extended battery for a while now but having the phone naked was not an option, especially not being able to holster it. So thanks to the OP for sharing this awesome idea!

Here's my version of the holster combo with the extended battery. I'm craftsmanship challenged so it's not the best looking finished product but it does serve the purpose for me, which is to have somewhat of protection + ability to holster the phone + have the awesome battery life.

Sorry for quoting the whole post.. haha.
What case is this..
I like the contours of this case, minus the holster though.
It seems like the perfect case/mod for me when I get this battery..
Been reading up on batteries and stuff and I always go back to this battery/door combo..
And yes to all.. A dremel or any similar tool is a MUST have in any home.!!
Good job guys..

edit: is it posstible to do this on the Otterbox defender case....

* I think this is my first ever post.. w00t.!!!

Can anyone confirm that this Sedio holster still accommodates the phone with the 2150 extended battery/modded cover with the screen facing out when placed in the holster?

Is it possible for you to do a otterbox commuter case?
I really like this case..
The active case looks nice with the rubber/plastic contrast looks badass..
Thanks

Just wanted to say thanks to drPheta! He modded my black Seidio Innocase active and it looks like it came from the factory that way. Quality work! Sorry, no pics at the moment.
