Help HTC Desire C Power Button not working!

Hello everyone!

Recently my phone has been playing up. Everytime I pressed the power/lock button, it would lock the phone then instantly unlock it in a flash. It would take a few presses of the button to make sure it stayed locked. Today it decided to completely stop working... I pulled out the battery and put it back in and now when trying to start the phone up again it won't turn on.

Please could someone give me suggestions as to what's wrong? Is it a hardware failure and should I take it back? or is it something that could be easily fixed?

Hi CallumNick, and welcome to AF.

Sorry to hear that. I don't really know, to be honest. I does sound like it might be a hardware problem, but it might be that someone in the Desire C forum will know whether there is any software problem with that device that does this (this is the original Desire forum - I'll ask one of the staff to move the thread). But if nobody has any other ideas hardware is my guess - you should still be under warranty (1 year in US, 2 years in the EU).

i moved you to the desire c forum where folks who have your phone can help you out better.

if you are not rooted then the only thing i can think of is to do a factory reset and see if the issue persists or not, other then taking it in.
