Help HTC Desire C Wallpaper help!!

I'm trying to put wallpaper on my phone, but its not working right. I found a wallpaper I liked online and in photoshop I put my email on it so if it got lost it could be returned. But the when I try using it the phone wants me to crop it to a size that is no good, I tried adjusting it to 960x800 like people said but it looks horribly stretched on the phone. Also how I want it so its doesn't stretch across all pages of the phone, I want it to be the same page by page. It shouldn't be a pain in the ass to do! Please help me

All the forums are saying I should download a different launcher, I like and I am use to the default launcher! Why is this so hard to do? I don't think this is an odd request for my phone to do

No nothing there worked, I did say I tried 960x800 size
