I ordered the Proporta, should be receiving it soon. Am having second thoughts though, and might have to switch to the leather pull-up one from HTC, which looks perfect.

This is the king of cases. It has the flexibility of a silicone case without the warping. But also has the strength and shock absorbing power of those hard cases that come in two halves. My hard case broke at the weekend after meeting a tiled floor. I would recommend these Hydro gel cases to anyone who is looking for something reliable.

What can I say- bitter disappointment. High grade artificial leather is what their web-site claims but to me the case looks kind of cheap and plastic- there are no bumps and indentations on the "leather", it's all smooth except for the carved picture of the dragon.

There is NO cut out at the back for the camera lenses of my Desire and let me tell you- sliding the phone down the case was no joke. The side grip of the case is so tight I had to ask my girlfriend to help me. Which means troubles down the road when I have to take a picture.

Once in the case and when looked from the side there is a distance (empty space) between the top cover of the case and the display underneath and that distance is about 7mm. And goes from top to bottom. Bulky.

Last but not least the top right corner of the phone is completely exposed to a direct hit.

The only good thing is that it locks not with a magnet, which means no problems while using the Desire's compass. The case also comes with a belt holder. I paid
 
Just received my Piel Frama Magnum case.
I have been using a Proporta Aluminum-Leather case. As I reported the Proporta was nice but I was not pleased with the movement of the front cover. I felt that in a drop the corners would be exposed to breakage.

The Piel Frama is another case all together.
It is form fitted and while the top left and right corners are exposed (I think this is a design neccessaty it is very tight.

The leather is top quality and the front piece has a plastic insert that feels as protective as Proporta's aluminimum.

This is certainly the Rolls Royce of Desire cases and costs as a Rolls Royce would.

Top quality, top tier, top price but it is beautiful and elegant and good to the touch.

If you have the money and the Desire it is worth it.

My Krusell Case and bits arrived.

It's great, got a belt clip, bike handlebar clip and car windscreen mount and they all work well, especially the bike holder.
 
Those Hydro-Gel skins look amazing. I'm going to have to get a new case as soon as I get a bigger SD card. I had to glue my case together when all the connectors snapped. Tough Guard Shell.

I wish I read all the reviews before I bought it, as this is a VERY common problem. Shame because I love the feel of this case. Shame it's made of such cheap brittle plastic.

I've just ordered a Chrome Barely there case and a Tomato Gelli case from Case mate, so I'll let you know what they are like when they arrive.

Those otterbox cases look cool as well :)
 
I just received the Proporta recycled leather case. It looks well built, and the Desire fits in snuggly between the two plastic parts. The front flap hangs loosely over the front of the case, and the sides are open of course, so I'm not entirely sure this is the case for me. I'm thinking of switching to one of those HTC sleeves instead.

This is driving me nuts!! I pre-ordered this case from HTC direct and everytime the expected stock delivery date is reached the date slips yet again!! For the last two weeks the website said expected 2nd July and today it now says 23rd July?? They must have a firm date from case-mate? looks like they are stringing us along...

IV ORDERD the hybrid tough case, 23rd july, is so long away, not impressed to be honest,
shame, i hope its not one of these situations, where it gets delayed again and again, also does anyone know if these are on sell anywhere else?
