Another vote for the CM Barely There here - been using on for a month or so and am very happy with it. Hardly adds any bulk to the phone but protects the back and corners against minor knocks - I don't worry about what surface I'm putting the phone down on now in case the back get scratched :)

Also have a Nexus One neoprene slip case which I put the phone in (including the Barely There) when I want a bit of added protection :)

Just ordered myself one of these, on offer at Play. Thanks!

Hi guys, first post here.

I was thinking of buying the official leather case and was wondering if anyone has it?

Does the pull tab get annoying and does it mark the back of the phone? Here's a picture:

I have the pull case and I haven't noticed any marks on the back of the phone. It's a snug fit, so it won't accommodate an extra hard case (such as the Barely There) if you're thinking about that too. I wouldn't have thought you'd need both anyway.

I'd also suggest you look at the Krusell Luna pouch. Several people on here have it and all agree it's a very nice case - Looks good, fits the phone like a glove, doesn't add much bulk to the phone in your pocket, and obviously doesn't add any when you use the phone. It doesn't have the pull tab, but the sides are cut away at the top so you can still easily remove the phone.

Only problem I see with those Barely There cases is that they only protect the back. You drop it on the screen and you're in trouble. This is why I always go for for a case with a raised lip around the edge, so its at least a bit protected on the front too.

I'd like to share some pics of my ebay cases.

Let me tell you these cases are very high quality and fits the phone just perfect. For $5, you cant go wrong. The material is hard silicone, and it is pretty hard to take them off.

Would be interested in "real" pictures of the Casemate Torque as well...
Can't make up my mind to order that or the barely-there version...

Sorry for not including pics, Case-Mate HTC Desire Torque Case (Case-Mate CM011465), HTC Desire Cases, Covers, Skins by Case-mate
From the pictures it doesn't look like torque-case adds any more bulk than tough-case. Just some visual difference on the back of them. Torque has a tiretrack on the back which makes it more badass than tough..:)

plz post few pics of the case if possible. thanks. does its edges elevate the touchscreen from the surface when put upside down??
torque or tough cases?? which one is more bulkier

Yes, the screen is elevated when upside down. As stated earlier it looks to bulk just as much as the tough-case. Same same but different..

thanks bud

edit: I went for the PO S491 in the end. Didn't notice it before.

Hey, i'm new on here, have read a few pages and see lots of diference in oppinions. My desired is requested and i'm waiting to be notified when it'll b in stock. In the meantime i've made my mind up that i want a flip case WITHOUT a magnet as i've heard they interfear with the phone and was told this by the guy in the orange get connected shop aswell. If you have any reccomendations under

Case Mate Torque arrived 1 day ordering (yay for Amazon.co.uk). I'll get some pictures up later today unless someone beats me to it.

Has anybody tried this flip case from AIO Accessories that is available on Amazon:

BLACK FLIP LEATHER CASE COVER II FOR HTC DESIRE G7: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

It has 3 good reviews, and to my mind it has the flip part of the case the correct way round (i.e. hangs below the phone rather than having to be held upright above the earpiece), and the clip is in the right place (i.e. is attached to the bottom of the flip part and clips behind the top of the phone so that it doesn't get in the way of the earpiece or microphone).

Any thoughts on this one?

Funny I bought some from this guy too!

Definitely think tpu/silicone case is better than the clone as all of the edges are protected rather than parts of it. Got both myself. Underneath that I have the bestskinsever.com total body protector including screen protector! Should keep it in good condition for a long time.

Case Mate Torque pictures. Sorry for the quality, Iphone 3G is super sucky for taking pics. The case has a very rubbery almost sticky feel, I quite like it personally...and it picks up the odd fleck of dust/ dirt as a result. It comes with the obligitory screen protector and micro fabric cloth.

I have this one which I got much cheaper from ebay. I do prefer it to the one I had before because the tab from the flip part doesn't get in the way of the screen.

It does fit well and provides a good level of padding when my phone is in my bag, although that does result in some extra bulk.

When I got the Desire, I ordered it with the Krusell Orbit Flex. It's a great, quality case, and you don't have to take the phone out when you need to check something quickly or make a call.

However it adds a lot of bulk to the phone, making it look like an old huge mid 90's phone. So I was thinking about getting a small, sleeve-type case for casual use, and only use the Krusell case when I need the extra protection (you could probably drop the phone on to asphalt and it wouldn't get a scratch when inside this case) or the clip it comes with.

But then I was thinking maybe it isn't necessary at all? It does seem a bit overkill to keep the phone in a pocket, in your pocket. On the other hand, not all jeans pockets are completely smooth on the inside, so maybe there's a risk that you'd scratch the display, even if you don't have any keys or other items in the "phone pocket"? But then again, taking the phone out and putting it back into the sleeve would also cause wear by rubbing the display against the inside of the sleeve... So what to do?
