no i wont fit the desire with a flexiskin case. Its too snug on the sides in my opinion to deal with the extra thickness. The case does however fit the HTC desire better than the HD2 in my opinon :)
 
I'll chuck my vote in for the cheap ebay nexus silicone skins.
I received mine today & I have to say it's a pretty good fit. It will certainly do until a case-mate one is made available.
This one is cheap @

Sorry for late reply, the clasp is a metal popper so no magnet to worry about. As I said it is a bit of a tight fit but no it is not to difficult to take out/put in - I certainly wont fall out on its own!

EDIT: Ah just finished reading the whole thread, sorry you didn't like it, did say it was bulky though :P

Just a small update, had the case for a few weeks now and very happy with it for me bulk is good as I am always losing small things, also it is possible to put a belt clip on via the screw hole in the back.
 
Just been told that MobileFun should have the correct Desire gel cases next week.
Thats what im going for. Cant wait for the case mate ones as they might not arrive anytime soon.

Where did you hear this, directly from Mobile Fun? I was going to order the Nexus One case they have at the moment, and then order the proper one when it's available, but if they will have them next week then I can probably be careful for a little while longer!

Seconded. I have the same case and it's what I'd call a "snug" fit. No effort to slip the phone in and very little chance of it sliding out on its own - you have to give it a little shake to get the phone to fall out or physically pull it out of the top or pinch the bottom of the case to squeeze it out.

I very much doubt one with a flexi-skin would fit tbh.
 
I've had the Proporta case on order since I got my phone - my colleague has one for his iphone and it really is worth it. Plus I used the voucher code of "MOOLAH" to get 20% off and I used TopCashBack for 10% back on top of that. Ordered a few other things from there too and qualified for free shipping so it was well worth it overall.
 
I'm using a knock off Capdase silicon case for the Nexus 1, fits fine and protects.:p

They are the same from Ebay.

Anyone know if there is an android theme case for the desire? I like the one that comes with the nexus one but I haven't been able to find anything like it for the desire :/
