Root HTC Desire Rom install help!!!!

These new sense roms that apparently work with cdma, for many do not.

It's best to forget this Rom for now. Get familiar with flashing simpler roms that are specifically for cdma. Get used to doing that properly first. You're trying to run before you can walk. Demanding help in caps is not the right way to go about it. Reading and practicing is what you must do.

I have been installing roms to android forums for about a year.
Heres all of the steps I took to install this rom.
1) I went to the main website and notices these websites were down.
2) First I went to this website to download the ACTUAL ROM its self. -- cool3d-aces-v5-bravo.zip - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download --
3) Then I went here to get the gsm-cdma patch -- Get Cool3D-AceS-v6-bravo-CDMA.zip on Wupload.com --
4) Then I went here to get the stock hboot ZIP -- Stock_hboot.zip --
5) Last i went here to get the Ext 4 converter patch -- alignment_cool_2.zip - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download --
6) I transferred everything to my phone. KEEPING IT IN ZIP FILES!!!
Okay now to my phone...
1) I press VOL- and PWR and then go into recovery (ClockworkMod Recovery v5.0.2.0)
2) I wipe data/cache/dalvik
***(Starting here I did the steps in all different orders. But you get my point. I usually started with the rom first or the ext4 aligner first.)**
3)I installed the rom (cool3d-aces-v5-bravo.zip)*
4) I installed Alignment_cool.zip*
5)I installed Stock_hboot.zip
6) I installed gsm-cdma patch
7)reboot.
8) htc logo screen. Let sit for 30 minutes last time i tried... Nothing..
SO heres all my details. What have i done wrong guys?
Thanks for all the help and aggravation :(

Those ext converter / alignment zips cause more trouble than they're worth. Use Gparted and then you never have to do anything with the partition again. You really need to skip that shIt

Which steps? Using Gparted to partition the sd card? I put it all in the root memory faq dude

Hadron is a guide. A staff member to help people get the answers they need. I'm just a guy with a desire and a keyboard

SUroot's being modest there :D (and I remember when you were a guide).

Bootable CD is fine - some people have some hassle setting them up, which is why the VMWare guide, but if you have/prefer that then no worries.

The good thing about a vm is you can take screen shots of issues if you get stuck and not have to remember/print/write instructions whilst not booted into Windows

I'd probably recommend you post in the dev thread on xda then. Many.have found these cdma "patches" don't do much to live up to expectation. There's nothing more we can suggest really
