HTC Desire UAE users

I am thinking of ordering the screen protector and pouch, and may be the usb cradle as well along with the device from handtec.
Has anyone else ordered this stuff from them? if yes then how is it quality wise? specially the cradle?
 
which reseller did you buy from? the guys on dubizzle? is the phone brand new? or was it locked and then unlocked by these guys? if you dont mind, do share the cost also.

I got in from somebody who was initially on souq.com for 2300 dhs. I managed to get his number and contacted him directly.
Phone was unlocked and in a sealed pack. Or at least I think it was sealed. The phone hadn't been touched in any way.
 
there are many selling on dubizzle for about 2000 dhs maybe even less. so if you want to buy one now, you can check with them. they all claim there is 2 year manufacturer warranty directly from HTC, how you would make a claim in case you have to, i dont know
 
He said it has a 2 year manufacturer warranty, and I confirmed that in the warranty document inside. He did not give me a bill, but he said that I could claim warranty using the IMEI number. So that means that it's got a valid IMEI and it's not a black market piece.
 
handtec shipping is more compared to expansys shipping. also take into account the customs you will be charged. handtec shipment was charged 45 pounds by dubai customs, maybe someone can chime in on how much expansys shipment customs cost?
 
I suggest you log on to souq.com, where shipping is 10 dhs and you don't have to worry about customs.
 
About the Custom some of you have paid, i am in saudi arabia, its a tax free country, so will the custom be applied to me?

Btw, i have compare expansys and handtec both side by side, and handtec seems to be cheaper! with shipping!!
 
the speakerphone is not loud enough its true, you can hear the person at the other end but a little more louder would have been better. to listen to music using headphones its loud enough for me, but i dont use the htc headphones. i use my shure.

its surely a blackmarket piece, most of them are repacked!!
a website named Expatriates.com is very famous in saudi arabia, its the same buy&sale thing as dubizzle.com
 
what exactly is a blackmarket piece? is the phone stolen? or is it originally bought locked to some operator like in UK for example then unlocked and repacked to look like new?

mygsm.me are selling desire for 2600 Dhs (today's price). Little high but they do seem to have local number you can phone. there's also this site that have desire: HTC Desire - Nahel.com
They are selling for 2249 Dhs (again, that's their price today)
Both of these sites offer cash on delivery.
