If you are 1.57 I am going to venture that you have an Evo V from Virgin ??

Yes the virgin mobile one I just roamed around on this thread and found a way to downgrade my bootloader by just downloading the image and letting my bootloader do all the work I'm kind of scared cuz if I brick my phone I'm sol cuz I don't have access to a computer but I'm still looking for a samsung Rom b4 I do this process do u know of any

I will move your thread to the proper section for you to get the proper help and support.

Lol ok thanks so now what I'm new to thus......and to be clear vm is cdma and sprint is gsm right

No Virgin is the same as Sprint CDMA, unless you live in India, CDMA in the states and GSM world wide.

It is the consolidation of Sprint’s multiple networks, 3G CDMA and 4G LTE, into one seamless network in order to provide customers with a better network experience - better service, more coverage, and a faster network. Now you’ll also hear it referenced as Sprint’s “All-New Network.”
For Virgin Mobile Beyond Talk and payLo by Virgin Mobile customers, these network improvements will provide a better network experience on their 3G CDMA devices. (At this time, 4G LTE devices are not available on Sprint Prepaid devices.)

Someone here will help, be patient and don't do anything until others help, so you don't brick your phone.

Easy to change hboot.

First I would recommend making a nandroid
Next dl and flash a rom that will boot with most hboots. I choose harmonia for this.

Once harmonia is running on your phone, download the pg86img.zip of the hboot you want, for jb you're gonna want 1.50.5050.

Move the pg86img to the root of your sd and reboot to bootlader.

Accept the update, and reboot to the rom.

Now make sure to go and move or rename the pg86img.zip NOW, if you forget to do this, you may end up pulling some hair out of your head. Just move it and be done.

Now I would suggest making another nandroid. With a nandroid of harmonia, you can restore no matter what hboot you are on, and will save you frustration.

You are now all set to find and flash any jb rom you want.

Make sure to check out the roms for the evo 3d cdma as well. DO NOT FLASH A GSM ROM

I merged both your threads together, keep this as your question thread for your 3VO, no need to open multiple threads, it will make it easier to get the proper help and support all in one, cheers. ;)
