Help HTC Evo 4G Headphone Port problem...aggravating...

I have the phone as the title says. I've seen tons of stuff about the static and all...but that is not problem. And I have looked at TONS of posts and nothing seems to go with mine. My problem is this...my speaker has been bad for a while, that's no problem cause I listen to my music via headphones. But the other day I went to plug my headphones in and the music was already playing. The click sound was made, but no transfer of the music to the headphones. It stays on the speaker. If I pull the headphones out, it turns the music off. I've tried different headphones, different aux cables. The only thing that gets sent through the headphones is the FM Radio. Is this some sort of port problem? Or is the problem Motherboard? If it is the port, where the hell can I buy one? I have also checked the port for lint. It looks healthy all around. So aggravated with this...Any help would be GREAT! Thanks! :)

well other then doing a factory reset, maybe try doing a soft reset. power off the phone (make sure fastboot is disabled, settings>apps>disable fastboot), wait 30 secs and then reboot.

Well I just ordered my new screens, case, frame, and frame casing. So I'll wait till I get those and then I'll do a factory reset. MY phone has been through hell and back. Cracked screen, the casing is totally destroyed, camera is f'ed, speaker is shot. Its just a total mess. I can buy a new phone, or I can order all my parts and have a new phone for less than $50. Lol.
