Root htc evo and emulation

[syi]

is there any gamepad that works for thia phone? is there a way to make the wiimote apps work? they seem to work at first, in the apps i can press buttons and the app tells me which ones I'm pressing. the compatability even went as far as me being able to assign buttons in gamboid but did nothing in game. are we completly screwed or is there some hope?

i am running cm7 and that is said to remedy the problem, at least thybsay so on ehow anyway. not too sure how reliable that information is. do i need a custom kernel?

i found this thread on xda tha mught help you out:

no you do not need a special kernel for it. you just need an app like this: Wiimote Controller.

Go into keyboard settings and change it to wii remote controller. If that doesn't work then go into gameboid and go into "other settings" and slide down to where it says "use input method." If none of that works then i'm sorry i have no idea what else could be stopping it from working. It runs on my EVO 4G using CM7 just fine.
