Help HTC EVO V 4G to Jellybean?

I am just curious because I purchased the HTC EVO V 4G about a week or so ago and it comes preinstalled with Android 4.0.3 ICS... I was wondering if there is some kind of official Jellybean update so I can upgrade my Android system to 4.1. What are my options? I'm on the Virgin Mobile unlimited everything plan and i think i've pretty much got the best phone available through their plans... so can someone help me out? How can I get this phone to the new Jellybean 4.1?

Officially it'll never happen, CM10 still has issues but no matter what it's better to root sooner than later.

Just as Overbyter said, an official jb update release pretty much won't happen.

Most devices will only receive one official update unless they are running 2.2 and even then they'll be lucky if they are upgraded to ics 4.0.

Evo 3D/V 4G is at the end of its life though, won't receive any future official updates except for security updates.

Only option now if you want 4.1 loaded onto your V would he rooting and flashing cm10.

Unless it's a Triumph running FroYo, then.............

uhm.. so what is CM10?!?

the thing is, i am using the Virgin Mobile no contract plan... i love the unlimited everything deal but hate the crappy reception and lack of updated phones they offer... i hope HTC releases a newer phone on Virgin Mobiles plan soon..
