Help htc evo voicemail

hello,

I have a boostmobile service running on my htc evo. I have voicemail already set up from previous phones. I was wondering why dont i recieve notifications that I have a voicemail. I have to call my voicemail to recieve the messages. I dont want the voicemail to text I simply just want the notification that says I have a voicemail. Is there a way to simply just get a notification for my voicemails or is it mandatory to pay for voice to text???? Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

not sure as you are on boost. is you vvm provisioned right? try going into vvm and make a message and send it to yourself. it should provision you correctly afterwards. if not then you might need to take it in to get it provisioned correctly.

also you can try using google voice. might be a lot easier to go that route.
