Root Htc evo wifi problem.

Hello today, It seems that after I flashed a new ROM to my Evo 4g my WiFi will work fine if I manually connect but if I'm to leave the house and return it will not re-connect automatically. I remember this happening a while back when I was using the stock ROM but it just worked itself out I guess. Is there a way I can set it to auto-detect my home WiFi and connect automatically. I would like to do this for work as well. come to think of it, I think it does switch at work no problem but at home it gets disconnected and I have to turn it off then back on for it to be able to detect my WiFi at home. Any advice is appreciated and I hope we can work this out. I thank you all in advance for your help.....

I am using Vaelpak 3.2. with GOLauncher Pro(not sure if that matters). Also If you know of a good overclocking kernel I could use it would help as well. Not that I need much more speed, just want to play around. If I flash a new kernel where does the one go that I have on default? Can I backup just the kernel or do I have to back up the whole ROM?

I don't know much about Vaelpak but I also use Go Launcher but I highly doubt that has anything to do with your issue.
As far as a kernel goes, when you flash a kernel, it will overwrite the old one.
Is Vaelpak a sense rom or AOSP? If I knew that, I could recommend a kernel:)

Sence, where can I look to see the kernel Im using now?

Menu >Settings>About phone>Software info>More

You should see the kernel info somewhere in those steps. I can't remember where exactly in Vaelpak.

Also, I think Vaelpak uses Netarchy's kernel which is a great but old kernel.

Why are you using vaelpak if you're using a launcher anyways? Anyways, I'd either get out of range of your router and go to wifi settings and forget the network, then get back in range and add it back. The same thing can be accomplished by temporarily unplugging your router and doing the same thing. You might want to try a still supported rom as the kernels might be improved from the old rom you're currently using
