Hello all, I am new here. Tried to find "changing WiMAX center frequency" discussion on the forum but managed to find this only:
[Q] WiMax chip frequency change | EVO 3D | XDA Forum
Need help with Wimax settings in EVO - HTC Evo 4G Forum : HTC Evo 4G Forums
I have purchased a used HTC EVO 4G from US. I would like to change its center frequency into 3,5Ghz. I have access to PureWave BTS that operates on such frequency.
Plus have found some "freelancer" web sites were people offer money for developing an app that will enable such configuration change (ie. center freq for wimax in EVO 4G).. I have also called technical support from Sprint but they said "it is impossible to modify". However I would think in the opposite - that - as it is tri-band phone it SHOULD be possible to modify this parameter... (unless this is somehow "interwoven" into the HW)
Problem is that the above links do not state if anyone has succeeded with such modification.
So few questions:
1. Have you ever heard about someone who managed to succesfully change WIMAX center frequency on EVO 4G?
2. (if no) Do you think it should be possible to do (technically speaking)?
3. If it should be possible than WHAT steps I should make (or whom to ask) to do it...
Many thans, still I don't know if this issue is sovable.. (hope you can help me)
