Yeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaah, downloading now.

Gonna take a while but it will be worth the wait. It's like all my Christmas's coming at once. If you could all be patient and let my download go through before you swamp the system that would be much appreciated.

You're trippin us, aren't you?

Tell us the version number please. I would like to know if it is the same or a different version that was released.

No way, 42 Mb to go. Not everyone will receive it at once, it is done by IMEI number.

I am sure I am not the only one to be downloading right now but the others must be waaaaaaaaay too excited to type.
:)

I'm pretty sure this is 1.72.405! I remember when both my DHD and DZ got it and it was 42MB.

his location says "Not the UK", and if he isnt a troll then that explains why he has it and users in UK don't. if not, i am inclined to say he is trolling!

what were the issues with WIFI?

Apologies for being lazy and not looking for it.

Android will disconnect from a WiFi network once the signal becomes too weak. But in that build the phone was too sensitive and would drop out when the signal was weak but still usable.

In gingerbread, google decided to have seemless crossover between WIFI and Mobile data. They therefore up the threshold for when you get disconnected on WIFI up so you always get the strongest signal for data. So now if you get a lower signal on WIFI, your WIFI will turn off.

It looks like it is a gingerbread thing, not a HTC thing, so I do hope HTC change the threshold back to what is in Froyo.

I agree with him, we are in the information age and they really should spell it out for us how they implement update rollouts and timescales etc etc. We enthusiasts here thrive off that stuff.

lol allot i would think, ive been checking like every few mins all morning, well officially the roll out starts on 6 mins, suppose ive just been overly hopeful lol
