HTC HD2 buttons/keys at the bottom

Hello Android folks !
I hope this post finds you all in the best of your health !

I have an issue where my HTC HD2's Backlight in the buttons/keys at the bottom start flashing...i dont know why

You ever seen anything like this before?
Your help is monumentally appreciated folks

This is a known issue with Gingerbread builds (not sure about Froyo ones).

The temporary workaround is to place a call and as soon as the call screen comes up, end the call and the buttons will stop flashing.

I am using CM7 Gingerbread ROM and have not had this issue. I had this issue with the NexusOne HD Gingerbread.
 
The next time this happens Ill do exactly what you said. Ill keep you guys posted.

I read the thread and really have not heard of anyone else having this issue so at this time, I have no clues.

Did a little bit of searching on XDA with no real results. I'll dig in more though.
 
i had installed a lot of apps....A LOT OF THEM
so i thought maybe one of them caused it

i went ahead and uninstalled all of the apps and then this:

-1 turned on all the volumes using app called eRay
-2 changed the ringtone to something ive never used...
-3 switched off phone
-4 took battery out
-5 turned on phone...
-6 changed ringtone to something else and them turned off phone...restarted....tried and worked OK !


I hope this never happens to anyone...if it does ...i hope this helps.

Thanks and glad it helps. I can say, confidently, that CyanogenMod ROM has not had this issue in the several days I have been running it.

Wish I was a good enough Dev to be able to see what they did differently than other Gingerbread ROM's.
