HTC Hero 3G network coverage question...

Hi guys.. new here.. just wondering if you guys have any info if i buy the HTC Hero now, will I be able to use the 3G network when it's available in US? I'm currently with At&t and I hate to go back to Edge. Any info would be great. Thank you

I think the current available HERO will only work on GPRS and Edge and will not work on US 3G networks due to frequency .... The Hero(or whatever Name it get in the US) will have 3G so buying a non-US Hero is or sure a non 3G unit ...and it never will be (the radio hardware in the phone is fixed )

that sucks... I guess i can't really get this phone unless i switch with sprint.. sprint=no simcard=no unlock..

There may be a GSM US version of the Hero ... but that is yet to be seen .. I am not sure if there is any rumor of it ??? there are so many possiblilites prior to the end of this year .... I wouldn't rule anything out at this time ..

AT&T might still be a possibility ???
