htc hero cdma lag and adw launcher force close problems

i have an htc hero cdma (sprint). im running cm-6.1.0.RC1 and my phone is often very laggy! im using the set cpu widget. my phone runs better on 768 then the lower speeds. but even still my phone keeps everything open. and if i keep hitting back it will keep going from message to convo list to message back and forth then back to facebook then back to something els. and then the adw launcher will stop responding and force close. happens constantly. and a task killer wont help because everythings staying open as i use it. any advice? speed help? maybe a different launcher than adw?

Personally, I would flash something a little more up to date as CM6 stable is from 10/28/10. Try JayBob's 12/31/10 CM6 builds, try 12/10/10 aospMod 0.9.9.2 or try 1/26/11 Gingerbread rom.

For the ADW issue, I've had more success with LauncherPro on the more recent AOSP roms, imo;)
 
um as i see it, camera works now, nothing wrong with anything. i MAY be wrong but i found it very fast and stable and idk what is imo either XD
 
alright sweet! thanks so much! anything not working? i heard mms wasnt? if thats the case ill just go with .9.9.2 because i want picture mail

Deca's kernel will help with speed and the battery but if want better battery life, Deca has a battery tweak also. If you try the battery tweak, uninstall any overclock app before trying as you can set the overclock/underclock frequencies within the tweak

whats the difference between .9.9.2 and the 1/26 gingerbread?
 
HotRu's Kernal is baked into GB.....its NICE.....

Deb - Goof around with .9.9.2 For a bit...then make the leap to GB....
