How about the AT&T Captivat... from what i just read it just smoked the X in just about every benchmark test ..

Maybe for graphics but speed the X smoked the galaxy S which is the captivate. The processor in the gs is better for graphics which has been discussed in a few threads
I think I am gonna jump the ship and turn my droid incredible in for a droid x.
Update: naah nevermind.. I love my drinc. I can't part with it.. The x seems too big and the bump on the back doesn't look too good.
oh what should i do? I am so torn!

I have been researching what Verizon phone to get, as I am about to jump from T-Mobile, and after two weeks of research, I finally decide on the Droid Incredible and every Verizon store has given me the same response:
"We don't have any Incredibles in the store, they are back-ordered and Verizon is phasing them out since the Droid X is coming out the 15th of July".
Why would Verizon do this with a 2 month old phone?
I've had my heart set on an Inc since deciding to (finally) upgrade my 2 phones (me + wife) a couple of months ago. We had to wait for work approval so I didn't jump on pre-ordering. Then all the availability issues after launch and now talk of screen changes, more delays, and the announcement of the X has me all confused to the point I haven't pulled the trigger.
While I want and Incredible, here is why I'm starting to lean toward an X.
- I may be able to get an X before an Inc, maybe even in a store.
- The X's larger screen.
- The X may have better reception (supposedly)
- The X has a better hardware graphic acceleration (supposedly)
- The X has better keyboards (out of the box at least)
- The X has better call clarity (3 mics) (will it matter?)
- The X has better battery life (supposedly)
- The chance I'll can some lesser Inc with an LCD screen.
I just can't get over how ugly the X is (those buttons?! That camera bump?!). Is it too big? How is that bump going to work in my pocket? I want a large screen Archos 5-like device to watch movies/TV on my commute but I'm not sure I want my phone to fill that role. Is it worth lugging that thing about ALL THE TIME. Also, I'll miss not having the optical mouse pad and Sense.
Anyway, that's where I'm at.
You act as if the X is a 10 pound brick. Please..............
Give me a silicon case, and I would need the jaws of life to take that out of my jeans pocket.
Guess you like those junk-hugging skinny jeans...whatever floats your boat

I do wear them. They fit me nicely. Plus my girlfriend likes them and purchases them for me. Its a win-win scenario.
lolThe most notable physical characteristic, though, is the Droid X’s size. It’s absolutely huge (5 by 2.6 by 0.4 inches). It’s easily the biggest app phone on the market. You feel as if you’re talking into a frozen waffle.
....
Who’s right? Do you want a big phone, so you can have a roomy screen? Or a small one that doesn’t feel like a VHS cassette in your pocket? Both arguments carry weight; let the public decide.
Yeah no thanks. I like being a man, and having a normal baby batter count. My meat and two veg like to have room.
Tapatalk. Samsung Moment. Yep.
