I'm so happy now. Thank you so much incrediblyannoying. I think we will see the phone in two weeks or less.:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Whoa....back to unofficial.

Do you think we can get tag edits back for this thread? I like those.

And thanks dad (Steven58) for giving us a place to play.

Y'welcome, son! Lets see what the mods say about the official thread. If they close it forever, we'll ask them if they are open to adding tags, sound like a plan?

So the droid training had to be completed by a friday and was released the following friday?? so monday the 12th with the 19th (monday) a release possible?

Yeah im not sure what day the Droid was released, but he said OT is followed by instore training and play for a day or 2 typically for all the employees. The other thing he noted was they had a month for the Droid training, and only a week and a half for the INC so that COULD mean they're try to push it out faster.

My Disclaimer: I worked as a VZW RSR until one month ago. I have now spoken w/4 sales rep colleagues around my old market, and also today spoke with a store manager. I trust them all implicitly.

Still no info has been filtered down to retail stores in the market in question. No devices, no dummies, no demo's, no IQ phones, etc. No online training has been released for the device. No confirmation of the device has even been made to retail store managers.

But again, don't be too disappointed. Retail stores are not trusted with sensitive information. They will be finding out, I assume, when we do.

That said, I can't f'n wait. Its really consuming me. And its just a phone. But Geez, I am SO OVER my Storm. I want the Incredible.
Verizon makes it seem like we're dealing with the go codes for missile sites in Montana

I feel that if training needs to be completed by the 12th, then could be looking at a release within the next week...aka...what everyone has been saying for some time. It's great this info surfaced....is there anyway you can get a couple pics of the training itself? maybe some pics of the phone or UI....just to hold us over until the release lol

I couldn't really see the pic because my screen is 1920x1200 all i was able to see was that training started today, so cliff notes on the pic

well if they had that timeframe with the droid training was done by the 16th of oct and the phone release was the 19th. so potentially if youre saying they have a week and a half to train witht this thing, their training should be done by the 12/13th then maybe a release that same week?

What if OT is supposed to be finished by the 9th, but OT remains active for 3 days and the phone launches during the week of the 12th?...

I won't believe IncrediblyAnnoying for two reasons:

He posted an obviously photoshopped picture and tried to pass it off as legitimate in the "Official" thread.
He spelled approximate wrong in his latest photoshop.

Please, run along and hug a transformer.

In my market we did not have the droid until 2 days before its release. We had no preview devices.

In my market, there was NEVER an in-store training for a device. EVER. Just IS NOT DONE. Who would lead the trainings anyways. I worked in 3 different stores with 5 different managers and the reps ALWAYS new more about the devices than the managers. An online training is the MOST training that is EVER DONE for a new device.

Again, at least in my Market. (Which was consistently the 2nd highest grossing market in the company.)

alright so i talked to a regional verizon rep at bestbuy today and told her that i would be leaving verizon come may or june when the evo comes out, because verizon can't come out with any good phones and other companies are blowing them away.... her response "give it 2 weeks, the latest a month.." tried to push more info out but nothing. i need a new phone one way or another im using a chocolate 1 and its killing me

EDIT: Start at http://androidforums.com/htc-incredible/42916-official-htc-incredible-thread-406.html#post501312 and read for about a page and a half to see him getting outted for posting a fake picture.
I thought the photoshopped picture was someone else?

Edit: nvm

I've been following the thread days and nights without any info to contribute, but the whole time I was starving for fresh info from you guys.
The bickering made me nervous and was distracting, but I gotta admit the whole thing was entertaining.:)

I too plead to reopen the main thread.

I didn't like the bickering either... I just went to the next post. (I stay out of trouble!) :)

And what will i be looking for? There are a couple of people that have been reliable on their info, and simple because he did not spell correctly does not mean his information should be discredited. No need for the drama

You'll be looking for the part where he posts a photoshopped picture of a screenshot and everyone notices and calls him out on it. Its easy to find, I promise.

If his pictures were real, he wouldn't be the one doing the spelling ;)

No, there was a photo that he gave us supposedly of the leaked HTC Incredible. And we discovered it was photoshopped today, there is a whole discussion if you care to read.

But either way, idk, this camera phone shot looks pretty real to me.
