I have not experienced any static whatsoever from day one. So far so good.Hey Nomunk I'm with sprint as well and my HTC ONE speakers makes static nose. Do you experience any of this?
We played the same song side by side, and while it wasnt an insane difference, the Note 2 is definitely louder. I took a coworkers HTC One and played it alongside mine and they were similar in volume. This is odd, My girlfriend has the Note 2 and my HTC One is about twice as loud as her Note 2 on any volume playing music, games, videos etc. My HTC One is the Sprint version.
There is a mod out there for people running custom ROM's which increases the number of steps in the volume chain. It is loud, and to be honest i think it's good that people are complaining that they can't turn it down enough.
I tried an app from the store but it didn't help.
I would say the only option for now would be rooting and installing a custom rom, they usually have more volume increments included.
Reviving an old thread here, but does this work for media volume like YouTube or Games, or is it just for music?
I think it was pretty clear from reading monkeyboy's original post what problem he was having. I have trawled through many similar threads but they all get derailed by people talking about the in-call volume or ringtones etcetera. I have exactly the same problem as monkeyboy though, because I don't go to sleep earlier than my girlfriend. I like to lie in bed and quietly watch videos or play games, which was fine on my Galaxy S3, but if I try it on my HTC One it usually results in a sharp elbow jab in my spine.
The jump in volume from 0 to 1 is unacceptable and HTC or somebody needs to fix this problem! I can't even muffle the speakers with my hand on this phone because of the otherwise fantastic dual front facing speakers!
Can anyone recommend an app that consistently adheres to the volumes that the user has set? So far, every one I have used resets to default after a few days (re: v loud)
many thanks
Hi all, Had my HTC One for around 8months and really happy with it until 3 weeks ago. Top speaker starter to crackle/distort at mid/high volume, been getting steadily worse and now nearly impossible to hear phone calls. Anyone else had this issue?
Contacted O2 (UK) and they said the phone is under warranty, send it back for repair for free.
Which would be fine but I have heard that the whole phone has to be dismantled.....so not holding out hope that I get my original phone back.
I've recently upgraded from a HTC One X to a HTC One. I've noticed the volume control isn't as good with the new handset, as the lowest volume setting is still quite loud. With my HTC One X I could put the volume of games down so that it was loud enough for me to hear, but not loud enough to annoy anyone in the vicinity ie my wife lying next to me. I've searched to see if there is a way to make the volume control more sensitive with smaller increments, but I've been unable to find anything. Has anyone else noticed this issue or have any solutions (apart from earphones!)
