HTC Sense home page apps on launcher pro

I just bought a new Desire and have a question on something i can't figure out. I'm using launcher pro and would like a some of the apps that are on the HTC Sense home page but I can't figure out where they are to put them on there.

One is the app that shows text messages, the one that shows bookmarks, and the one that shows favorite contacts.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can't use htc widgets with launcher pro or any launcher other than sense. The widgets are fixed within sense, so if you switch from sense, you lose senses widgets.

There are alternatives to all of the above on the market though, search around.

Upgrade to the paid version of Launcher Pro. It's got a contacts widget that IMO is far better than the sense one, and a bunch of other ones, including bookmarks I think.

Jim's right, Launcher Pro Plus (paid version) contains Facebook widget, Calendar/agenda, twitter, friendstream, bookmarks AND a contacts widget.

they do look a LITTLE more basic than the more stylised HTC Sense ones in my opinion they DO get the job done...and in the case of the facebook one they update better!

Beautiful Widgets...

I have it already. What does this have to do with my question?

Thanks for the advice. I went ahead and purchased the paid version. Haven't had a chance to do anything with it yet.

I had the same problem, only thing that was keeping me with sense was that I couldn't find a mobile data toggle widget, but I found widgetsoid, does exactly that, toggles the mobile data (and a whole load of other stuff) look on the Market for it, a must if you use a lot of toggles, I've been using it with zeam launcher now for about 4 months and haven't even thought about going back to sense, or anything else for that matter.

Thanks nafpez - funny how something so simple would be a deal breaker for me to go back to sense. I use it daily as soon as I get back to the house then I quickly toggle mobile data off and wifi on..

Seems weird why there is nothing on launcherpro for this.. I will check out widgetsoid!

You can use the widget Power Control to have the WiFi toggle and a few others. There's also the app Extended Controls, 61p, which has plenty more toggles and also different themes/icons to customise.

widgetsoid did the trick.

Now another question :)

I have the mail icon on my launcherpro home page. It doesnt seem to update correctly whenever I get an email in. Like at the minute I have 2 unread emails in my hotmail account, so it has a (2) in green. But if I get an email in, it doesnt update to (3).

The message shortcut is the same, whenever I get an sms in, it doesnt have a green (1) on it.

Any ideas?

Dunno, never used it!! Just assumed it was

*goes to check*

nope...wifi, bluetooth, GPS, Sync ON/OFF and brightness control...thats it...no mobile connect...to be fair I would rather of had that on there than sync on/off...but then again a long press on the power switch brings it up in the menu.
