HTC Sync Anomaly

I had severe problems with HTC sync until the latest release as it would not recognise my MS Outlook v.14.0.6112.5000(64 bit). Well now sync sees it and apparently synchronises.

My current problem is that it only seems to synchronise the Outlook data to the phone, and does not update Outlook with diary amendments I have made on the phone.

Now as the main reason I want to sync is to ensure back up in case the phone ever dies or is stolen this is somewhat of a problem.

I have tried setting the sync option to "newest date" and also "phone" for any clashes but it still doesn't seem to want to swap diary entries to the computer.

Please help.

htc sync is rubbish
i personally make my contacts google contacts and import them into there on the phone
i then sync with google and they are all backed up in gmail
you can then export them as csv and use them in outlook if you want but they are safe on googles servers

I would strongly recommend MyPhoneExplorer as a replacement - it offers additional functionality as well.
