Help HTC_IME Keyboard for X8

thats the only way I know how to copy paste all etc - long press on the text input area

i never discovered this until i read your post....thanks! :)....now my problem is solved!

but it's true, in the standard keyboard, there are really "select", "all", and "paste" keys!
 
Reviving an old thread but I have just found the Chinese keyboard on my X10 has the Select All and Paste buttons at the top as well as the left and right cursor button. I wonder if this was what was on the X8 before the update. So maybe you weren't going mad after all, and I hadn't missed a trick cos I had never tried the Chinese keyboard, assumed it would be symbols rather than standard qwerty or t9.
 
Hi, i've been using this keyboard for a few months now and it's great but I do have one question. I'm using the qwerty version mostly because i'm more used to it but is there any way to jump to the next character without waiting? For example if I want to type "BACK" I have to type the B, wait a bit, type the A, wait a bit then type the C. Is there any way to avoid this and type chars that are on the same button without waiting?

why do you have to wait? I just press the screen without waiting :confused: could you make a video of you typing something?
 
Because if I don't wait the current character changes. For example to type B I have to press the "abc" key 2 times. If I press it again right away to type the A it will just change to a C. You have to wait a bit until it automatically passes on to the next character.

try using the QWERTY keyboard.
 
hey im using CyanogenMod7-v2 by Owain94 & Slade87,
but it doesnt come with this (htc ime) keyboard as default,, (as with floyo)
i tried installing with every file from the links proviede, but it keeps force closing.. the app doesnt work at all.. do i hv any choice to make the keyboard ;)work on that rom..
 
Link doesn't work. Could someone put up a new link please? Preferably rapidshare or megaupload something like that?
 
The only bad thing about this keyboard is taht it is not intended for anyone using any other language but English. So if you use Spanish or Swedish also (like me), you don't get the extra characters and switching languages (for the dictionary) is a pain in the as.

Any way to have this? I don't want to use my volume keys because I am using them to switch languages (the keyboard should have something easier to switch languages... it could replace the useless emoticon button)
