Huawei Ascend Official Review - POLL: Real Users!

How would you rate the Huawei Ascend based on your experience?

I just got my Ascend two days ago. I was expecting a major downgrade from my Samsung Moment to this. This thing kicks my Moments but! I rooted and backed up within hours of buying it. I was intending on buying the Optimus when I went in to the store, but this seemed like a better deal when I saw it in person. Ill be buying one for my wife tomorrow, even she likes it so much more than her Moment :)

This past weekend I was with some other people who had their high end high falootin (and did I say - high dollar) phones.

My Ascend held it's own I'm very happy to say! And they all wanted me to root their phones for them. LOL

Except for my iphone friend that is. hahaha

Even with 2.1.....it hang right in there. Maybe a tad slower...but who's racing? :D

But you can sit the iPhone on it's edge and watch a video. Thats worth an extra $400 right there!
 
Paying $400.00+ to watch a video on a screen no bigger that a credit card,when you have a perfecty good options to watch the same video for free on a screen 10X the size almost anywhere you go.It makes sense,if you don't think about it! ;)

My phone + my own snacks + my own bed = NO way am I spending 9 dollars for a movie and triple that for my hunger and thirst! Heck, I don't even have cable in my house because of how ridiculous it is to pay for something you never even use. (I've got my computer, My phone, What else do I need really?) Everyone has their own preference but, I am personally quite happy with what my Ascend has done. I've been watching a few of my favorite shows through a TV app. It may not be the fastest but, I'm not in the rat race. I'm running at my own speed!

Same here,No cable.IMHO,for myself, its a waste of money.I use my phone for most everything.Web,music,games,etc....,I got my moneys worth out of this phone the 1st month of owning it. If it had a total meltdown tomorrow,I honestly wouldn't be that disappointed,I've used my phone more in the 2-3 months I've had it than most would in a year.Everything from this point forward is a bonus.

So let me get this straight, between four wheeling, pool sharking, bar hopping, and all around mischief making, you find the time to root your friends' phones? Talk about multi-tasking! Is there anything you CAN'T do? No wonder your fan club was so anxiously awaiting your return! lol! Seriously though, welcome back!

I would have liked to have given the Ascend 5 stars, but I am a little disappointed with it's limitations. This is my first Android phone. I had no idea the range of Androids was so broad. I would still definitely recommend this phone to others, with the understanding that it is not going to fold their laundry for them like the Motorola Atrix will.

For the small amount of 80 dollars I'd spent for this phone brand new! I'm totally not going to complain because I'm a broke mofo. This phone is a great starter Android for me. Perhaps someday I'll go out on a whim and buy a ridiculously expensive phone. Until then, I'm lucky to have half the crap I do. LOL. Speaking of that, I've now got to figure out what I'm going to do with all these old electronics I have sitting around...
