Huawei Glory links, leaks, facts and speculation thread

From another forum.

"Huawei's four-inch flagship has appeared at a rigorous FCC screening, and this one comes with several radio band changes since its formal reveal. This new CDMA 800/1700(AWS)/1900 variant, making it through the Commission as the M886, indicates the Honor will be making a showing in the US on Cricket as the Huawei Glory. You can expect to see the Gingerbread-running device come with a 4-inch FWVGA (854 x 480) screen, a 1.4GHz single-core CPU, 512MB of RAM, a sizable 1,900mAh battery, an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front-facing cam. If its expected November release remains true, this may easily be the best-selling device on the prepaid carrier for the holiday season. Check out more pics in the gallery below."

Lol.
Damn I cant wait for this phone to come out.....
tooo damn anxious.
I know. All of the Metro Ascenders are getting the LG Esteem, and I'm jealous lol. Hurry up, Cricket!

This is basically the same article you posted, but the picture is easier to see. You can see the Cricket logo at the bottom on the back, and the speaker grill looks a little different than it did originally. Let's hope Cricket doesn't try to force this purple color on us like the red only Samsung Vitality.(Metro got black AND red)

I don't thinks its actually purple but the way the light hits it?
If it is purple then ef that ill get the sII, lol.

Ok that answers my question to 'why are there different shades of black?'
That one says it will have GB 2.3.5 and I've read elsewhere 2.3.3 or 2.3.4....
Mind games.

Well, that was the Honor, might have slight differences, and those are prototype models. Let's hope that guy who says he already has one is right, and it has 2.3.5 and will come in white and black. Honestly, though, I don't think any differences between 2.3.3, .4, or .5 are anything noticeable for regular people.

keyword: regular people.
:D
Lets just hope he wasnt trolling. Someone else on another forum said he bought the Glory from some lady for $15.

Cool. If they are selling accessories it must be coming soon. I how they make the skin for the Glory that covers the whole phone, front and back.

Kind of like the Otter box case for the Evo? Link please.

I read in an article that they called the screen "glass". Maybe they just referred to it as 'glass', seriously doubt Cricket would add any glass to screens. Would not like to go through cracked screens, personally.
Looks nice in all white and white logo.

Too bad the front is black. All white would have been really nice.

What I'm talking about is like a screen protector for the whole phone. I don't like bulky cases. This video makes me miss my Nexus.

The Glory should have a real glass screen, all nice phones do. Only cheap phones have plastic. I hope it has Gorilla Glass, but I take pretty good care of my phones anyway. I don't even think I would need a screen protector for real glass, I really just want it for the back. This Skinomi stuff is pretty much unscratchable. Zagg makes full body kits like this, too. I kind of doubt the Glory will get something like this, though, they usually only make the full body kits for the most popular phones.

Wow, well i guess im buying one of those screen protectors then!

Only thing that concerns me is that if the glass cracks. I take good care of my phones but unexpected things do tend to happen. For example, one day I went to pick up money owed to us and when I grabbed my phone and tried getting out of my car, my Indulge managed to slip out of my hands and it bounced around like flubber until it flew out of the car and landed screen first on gravel. I was already thinking the worst of things of how my screen would look and to my surprise it was the same, no damage at all. The screen protector actually managed to get a slight tear but thats about it.
Now if the Glory comes with GG or any glass then I better be extra careful.

I wondered what Huawei had as a 'surprise' for making this device with no HDMI and stumbled upon this
"The smartphone is DLNA-certified which ensures interoperability with other DLNA-certified devices such as digital cameras, game consoles and TVs. This makes it easier for consumers to share their digital photos, music and videos between different DLNA-certified devices."
and a gyro for better gaming! lol

Nice find. Also confirms 2.3.5 and claims 3 days (!) battery life. That would be amazing!

I saw the live stream of the Nexus/ICS and after all that I thought to myself "If the Glory IS able to update to ICS, will it be exactly like the Nexus?". I was really amazed by ICS in the Nexus and if the Glory does get ICS that is exactly what I saw, then I'm def. getting the Glory. If not then Nexus here I come, I really liked that it didn't have the touch buttons on the bottom any more but integrated as part of the actual screen.
