I use barnacle tether quite a bit, and the ascend's connection is horrible. Do you think there with be a difference in speed? For xbox live. Also, is the Optimus faster?

tethering the xbox to any carriers data network is gonna SUCK!!! The Optimus is a much better phone compared to the ascend, is faster, has a faster cpu, a dedicated gpu, and more internal memory I think. Bit thats not gonna help with tethering a gaming console ;) well unless you like getting dropped out of games online or getting killed because of lag ;)

I'm gonna buy the Optimus i think. Its sounds awesome. The screen just looks so small.

The 4g would definitely be faster, but I'm not sure if it would be fast enough for xbox live. It depends how fast their 4g speeds are. These companies can call anything they want 4g, and it varies widely from company to company. If I had to guess, I'd say it would probably by at least usable, but not perfect. The other thing is, I'm not sure the Indulge has been perm rooted yet. I haven't checked their forum lately, but the last time I did, they only had a temp root to remove bloatware. They might have figured that out by now, though. The best way to learn about a phone you are interested in is to read up on their forum.
 
Well, I went and looked at the Indulge forum, and apparently they finally got it rooted as of 4/10. Last time I checked, they were taking up a collection to pay some guy to teach them how to root it. Lol (seriously)
 
I have both the Ascend and the Optimus M. Seriously, If you are going to bother getting another phone, Go for the Galaxy. I bought the Optimus first and went back and got an Ascend. -.- The Optimus is only SLIGHTLY better for me. Both phones have drawbacks. You may as well get on that 4G train because Metro is never going to get true 3G.
 
They finally figured out how to root the cricket optimus c yesterday. All they had to do was use a rooting method from the optimus s lol. It seems like that would be the first thing you would try. Lol. Their forum is so sad. There is not even a whole page of threads, and only one thread in the all things root section. Makes you appreciate the ascend community! Thanks everybody for being so cool and helpful!

lol i was afraid of chuckie up to around when i was 6-7years old. I remember once i was sleeping and all of a sudden my older bro comes out under my bed with a chuckie mask. Scared the hell out of me. I remember crying to my dad that same day.
