HUGE vertical disparity in 3D!

I think he tried a little too hard to tell everyone to dump the Evo. Especially since he even states in his post he does not have one, and he IS planning on getting one...

First off,
If you're viewing this on a lenticular screen, like on the phone

You don't know that this phone doesn't use a lenticular screen? It uses parallax barrier because we usually view the screen in 2D mode.

And this phone has the best specs on the market. Most people that enjoy the use of and working with phones bought it for the specs of the processor, qhd screen, ram, and internal memory. Lots of people that do not use the phone to it's full potential with root access and other things enjoy the look and feel of HTC Sense 3.0, a UI that no other manufacturer can get close to.

Oh yeah it's got a radio, WiMax, GPS, and two 5 mega pixel cameras

Positively my last post on this! :D

My apologies if I've previously given offence. I never meant to. I've obviously struck the wrong tone here. My internet posting of late has been on highly technical 3D forums where we are merciless in assessing equipment, and scathing of sloppy practices. (And all because we get it in the ear if YOU have a bad experience when watching a 3D movie!) But hey, we're still friendly.

I NEVER said to dump the phone. I said to demand they fix it. My first post said to demand a replacement, but I now realise they ALL have this problem.

The LG Optimus doesn't have these problems. Nor do other cheap 3D cameras. So why should the HTC? It's just a relatively minor software fix. If they haven't the will, maybe they should let a third party fix it with an app. Well, maybe that's in the works...

Let me repeat that you will not be able to 'see' this problem on your mobile screen, not until you put it on YouTube and can see what's going on when viewing anaglyph with no glasses. Look at the pix I posted above.

This argument seems to me to be a bit like if I'd bought a mobile phone with a camera some years ago (when it was still a novelty) and it was marketed as such, and complained that it didn't (let's say) focus properly. Nowadays you expect it to work as it should. The same should be true with any new, and highly marketed, add-on.

But you guys are happy. I guess that's really a good thing. A bit frustrating here though.

Have yourselves a nice day! ;)

I'm not a 3D expert, but I have watched 3D movies at the IMAX. I showed off my Evo home made 3D videos to friends tonight and they were blown away.

I'm happy with that. :)
