Hulu Works!!!

Watching "The Back Up Plan" from OVGUIDE.com

Yea, purty good stuff.

Wow, this phone just turned into a great thing. Now I might have to look into TV out.

For those who have problems, click on the clip, go to menu, then play video or whatever it is, and it should load for you.

This is what fixed it for me. You can't watch the video in the browser, you have to click the Video button and it launches full screen.

If it doesn't play in SKYFIRE with no changes this is what I did to get it to work:

To get it to play in the SKYFIRE browser you have to click the little half android guy on your menu thing and view pages in Android (as opposed to desktop or iPhone).

From then when you click on the view it will give you the option to play it in the bottom left hand corner.

This works on the Droid Incredible and Droid very well. Droid Eris I am having problems with, but after reloading the page I'm watching family guy at work LOLZ! (I have the Eris and Incredible and my co-worker has the Moto Droid)

Followed andrew's advice..it went to the SO loading screen, went to 100%, then says "Unfortunately, this video is not available on your pl (cuts off)..apologize for any inconvenience". This was for the newest episode of Family Guy on Hulu

I got that with the newest episode of LOST, says it is not available for your platform.

Maybe brand new episodes don't work?

I had the same issue with the same video. Then I went into the movie trailers and was able to watch one just fine. Maybe it is just that video or maybe it is just really hit and miss like others are saying and you just need to try a few times.

On the 3rd try, I've got a full episode of "V" working! YES. Awesome.

I'm thinking that clips work more often cause they are smaller files? And maybe shows from certain networks have a higher chance of working than others? I.E...ABC worked for me with V, but not Family Guy (fox).

OMG, this is amazing. Videos look awesome. I really hope they don't block this before I can show all my iPhone buddies what droid really does!

I keep getting this error for all videos on hulu and yes, I updated skyfire last night.

If you also got the system update, try a phone reboot. I had flash issues after the OTA update. Rebooted and works. Also, check that skyfire is set to render for Android. That was posted earlier in the thread.

For those who can't get it to work, test these out:

Make sure you are logging on to the net via Skyfire and not the stock browser.

Get the update via the Marketplace. Verson 2.0.1

Go to Hulu.com.

*If this is your first try, click the android robot in the top tool bar and make sure it's set to desktop. **If this is a repeat attempt, go into your history and clear/delete your cache. Exit Skyfire. Go back into Hulu and make sure that desktop is selected via the robot.

Disregard the Adobe Flash message. Click on a show, clip or movie to watch. If Skyfire doesn't automatically launch the video window, go to the bottom left of your screen and click the soft menu key. Three windows will pop up at the bottom. Click video, and your selection will start playing.

Some of us are getting hits and misses (Hulu probably catching on), but keep trying. It took me three tries.

Get the update via the Marketplace. Verson 2.0.1

All I can find in the Marketplace is "Skyfire browser 2.0 beta" I don't see version 2.0.1 or any update for it.

9 out of 10 attempts to play videos don't work, but the one time it does, it plays fine about halfway through the episode and then the sound stops.

You won't the app update in the Market. If you already have Skyfire downloaded on your phone, just go into the Market, hit menu on your phone, click downloads and it will show you if Skyfire needs to be updated. The title should read Skyfire Browser 2.0 (beta), but further down in the description you should see Update v2.0.1

It's buggy, so not everything is playing correctly. However, this was a good teaser today to say the least.

its buggy because its BETA. it does work pretty well though.

Can someone confirm this still works. Worked fine earlier, but even after multiple loads I am getting "Unfortunately, this video is not available on your platform. We apologize for any inconvenience. My brother and I have both tried several different clips. I have a feeling (though I hope not) that they have already fixed it not to work with Skyfire...

I think they might have fixed it. Stuff I watched this morning is no longer working and nothing else I try to watch works.

To be fair to Hulu, they have to fix this or risk getting sued by the owners of the Copyrights of all the stuff on their website.

Once Flash comes out for Android it'll be interesting to see how they handle it. They might be renegotiating contracts right now.

There are rumors of a Hulu app for Android being developed by Hulu... While there could be contractual issues to deal with, I'd lean more towards technical ones.
