Er.. not to be mean.. but, I'm getting a little frusterated here.
I am 99% sure I am 100% bricked.
when I press the power button, the lights don't even turn on in the phone :/
I read one thread saying if the phone doesn't even turn on these method won't work.
I guess the possible upside to all of that is if the phone doesn't turn on at all.. then maybe I can get it replaced.
As I may have mentioned, the problem you're having is the exact same problem I had with my 2nd Cappy. It wouldn't power on, wouldn't show the charge icon, NOTHING.
I tried the tape jig on it and never did get any response. I wasn't sure if I was not touching the correct pins or perhaps the phone was seriously bricked. I wound up exchanging it - BUT - After doing a lot of reading on the issue since, evidence would suggest that a jig will work. That's why I've been suggesting hacking your cable. Aside from a purpose built jig, hacking the cable is the closest way to ensure you're touching the correct pins on the phone.
Again, I wasn't able to get mine back on, but I didn't have a real jig at the time, so who knows.
