Root I can't boot past HTC boot logo screen.

well give it another few minutes and in the meantime try this file:Free File Hosting, Online Storage &amp File Upload with FileServe. this is just the previous ota we had. hopefully this one will work.

UPDATE: I did to that file the same as the last. I am guessing update was successful as it gave me the reboot option. It rebooted and went almost straight into a black screen with a phone and two green recycle arrows and a down arrow over the phone...not sure. Well wait again...my phone just rebooted itself from there...and it started!!!! Hell yea! Man you are the MAN!

I am having the exact same problem and unfortunately the files linked are no longer available for download. Can someone help me repair an EVO stuck at the boot screen. It is not rooted.

Thanks

ok you are not fully unrooted actually.
try this ruu:http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8709935/PC3....15.00.0808_NV_2.15_release_220182_signed.zip

1.download it and rename the file to PC36IMG by deleting everything but the PC36IMG part of the name. make sure that you do not add an extra zip as windows by default hides extensions.

2.move the file to the sd card. you will need a card reader or some way to get it to the card. do not put it in any folder.

3.power off (or pull the battery out and then back in) then press and hold power+vol down.

4.this should take you to the bootloader and if it is named right and on the card, it should ask you to update. select yes.

hope this works.

Thanks for the assistance. I tried the file, unfortunatelly while it appeared to have updated, I am still stuck at the HTC EVO white boot screen. Kind of sucks, any other files you could suggest I try?

Have you tried doing a "CLEAR STORAGE" in the Bootloader, and seeing if your phone boots up?

Hey Cap'n, does that clear storage also clear the cache and dalvik as well?

Could boot to the stock recovery and then hold volume up and down plus power and manually clear the caches that way. Unless of course clear storage covers those, which I assumed it did. :o

I'm almost stupmed with this one. I just hope it isn't the botloop of death from CM7. :(
