Hey everybody, just got my Evo Shift 4G in the mail today and so far its been awesome except for one major problem... I can't sync!
I have tried on two computers... an XP Pro SP2 and a Win7 Ultimate.
On Win 7, I install the HTC Sync software from the SD card, then reconnect with the "HTC Sync" option instead of "disk drive" and it appears to detect hardware in Windows, and I think the sync software icon changes in the system tray. On the phone it says "connected" but when I click sync it keeps saying "synchronizing" and never does anything. Also in the software window it says "No Device Connected" ...When I double click the sync software in the system tray, it comes up with a screen that says "updating htc library" forever.
On Win XP, it appears to install HTC Sync correctly, but when I attach my phone in sync mode, it comes up with unknown "Android Device" driver which I can't find anywhere...
Help? I'd prefer it working on Win7 but either would be fine.
