Help I Can't Update... Help?

After many failed attempts at downloading the update, I tried the method of removing the battery cover (to lose 3G service and use 1X). It worked for me the very first time. Some say that it doesn't work, but it did for me. Maybe worth a shot at least.

So I just checked for new software.. It stated it was checking and then it would come back and say it cant connect to the network. I tried on WIFI also and no luck. So I took the back cover off and it went right into 1x. I tried the software update again and it went right thru. May just be luck? BUT it worked for me

So after checking again, it's actually downloading the update. No notification was received. Although it's weird because for the last few days in the app store, I looked for updates for my apps and it listed only 4 apps of 20+ I have installed. Then today, the complete list returned. Not sure if there's a link but odd behavior nonetheless.

Yes. I just got it. For the fix that worked for me, see the thread "New Market Update". I updated to the new market app and my Software Update suddenly started working properly again. I immediately got the new update and it is now installed on my phone. I can't explain why, but the problem was apparently tied to the market somehow and after updating it, my phone is working correctly again.

I also got the OTA tonight, after obsessive checking regularly since it was released. Coincidentally also updated the Market today and had no idea the issue was related. Weird...

I just wanted to let you all know that I finally have gotten the update! I had the disappearing window problem and I have been checking regularly since Friday. This morning, I decided to give a shot expecting to be let down but...there it was! (in NYC and on 4G) I did not have to install any new market or do anything different. Update went smooth and I am happy just knowing I am actually able to receive updates. Hang in there guys. There is hope.

I am in NJ and finally got my update as well. This may have been regional as a couple of people with T-Bolts in NJ finally got the update today. I am also in a 4G area.
