actually, most of it is ok, even good on some parts, but the killer is the soft keys.

daytime- no issue. but i read in bed nightly- usually using screen filter to darken the screen. now, with the update, everytime i turn a page, those lighted buttons keep coming on and staying on. it is blinding. aside from wrapping the bottom of the phone in blanket, anyone got a fix for this??

electrical tape over the buttons at night?

Sorry, that's the best I got but I do agree that they should have made it an option (backlight time: 30 sec; home button time: 10). or something like that.

First thing my wife said was "isn't that going to drain the battery quicker?"

well... maybe... probably not noticable. But still...

I agree. They should have added a brightness adjustment for those also or something. Again only really noticeable browsing in bed/dark.

yes... totally, thoroughly, hate it... (((stomping, whining, fussing))) ... what were they thinking?? I'm thinking that THEY were thinking... "well... we'll show them... they keep fussing about wanting a longer "lit" time on their backlight... we can FIX THAT.. hee hee hee... snicker snicker ... we'll just make it so they stay on FOREVER!!" :(

...and any possible enhancements to GPS don't really thrill me.... I've pretty much nailed perfecting my seven-minute commute to and from work... and am pretty familiar with finding my way through the rooms of my house......:)

But it was an inexcusable waiting period for those of you who rely on a navigation system... tsk tsk on the folks at Sammy.. and for $30 bucks extra a month to boot..

i use aldiko and the after the lights turn off they dont ever come back on until i touch them (the lights) again. If there on when i start reading then i just turn the screen off then turn it back on and they stay off.
