Root I dont show adb on my pc please help.

In the process of instaling hboot driver on my PC I lost adb driver.. I reinstalled htc sync to get the driver but all it shows when I plug my phone in is "android device" when I expanded it says "my htc",,, IS this the same thing (which i'm pretty sure its not cause what I am trying to do fails every time).... if not how do I get this driver back?????????? Thanks

so I went and uninstalled "my htc" now it says android composite adb interface ( I still think this is wrong cuzz before i had went on the path of getting hboot installed it just said "adb"). I still can not push boot using cmd prompt. It allways says not recognize as internal or external cmd ..... am I i just missing some thing or doing something wrong........... I have a boot animation I am trying to push using this method.... I have been up and down the web searching this every method brings me to this point.....back at square 1 ...

naw.. this is a tool that allows you to program "sorta speck" your phone and re root files.. it allows you to tell the hardware on your phone what to do........its a cmd line but for your phone through your PC.

you have to install sdk

thats if you were just talking a bout adb drivers....but once you do this ever thing else falls into place
