Should this be expected?Hey all... first post
Got my Evo3D a couple days ago and am enjoying the device... considering rooting it. Unsure of the pros/cons of doing so, however :|
Only gripe I have is, coming from a BlackBerry, the battery life on the Evo3D is less ideal that I was hoping for. As of today, am unable to get through the day without chargingShould this be expected?

Hello all, I got my Evo on August 12th and absolutely love it. Only one very minor complaint, no percentage numbers on the battery indicator. But I think if that's the best I can come up with then I really can't complain at all lol.
I had a white 16Gb iPhone 3GS prior to the Evo. I'm still learning my way around the Android OS but I have to admit it's pretty sweet. I love the total control over the phone compared to the iPhone. I was especially impressed with the Bluetooth contact transfer option, made things so much easier and faster.
Admittedly I haven't gone searching around yet but my buddy bought his the night before and 24hrs later he had a dead pixel, we think he just got a bad phone but has this been an issue with the EVO's?
) over the Iphone! Just thought it was worth sharing here. It's the best phone ever! I love it!

Me too! I remember your perils with the purple Lotus![]()
I got my new 3D a couple of weeks ago. I had an EVO 4G, which I HATED!!!!! It kept screwing up, and Sprint was never able to figure it out. I finally told them to replace it, or I'm cancelling my contract. The store agreed to upgrade me, and gave me a choice of 3 phone, a Nexus, the Evo Shift, or the 3d. I went with the 3d and am much happier!!! It works so much better than the 4G, faster, and hasn't crashed yet...still wish I could upgrade to an iPhone, but that'll have to wait until I'm out of contract or I can find a good deal on one.
Hope to see you around
Welcome aboard! Who knows, maybe you will grow to love Android now that you have a phone you like and won't want the iPhone after all...just a thought!Hope to see you around

Maybe, but we'll see. I actually like this phone a lot, especially compared to the Evo 4g!
I am an Apple guy a heart though, 3 Macs at home and an iPad, so I'll probably switch back at some point. My fiance is looking for a new phone, so I may give her mine and get the iPhone 4s then...If not, then I'll stick with the Evo 3D and be happy with it.
While the 4S is a decent enough device, this picture sums things up nicely!
Wow, how can you not use flash? It's like 80% of the internet.True, but since I don't use flash on my Evo, or my iPad, and I don't miss it at all, that's a non factor for me. The IOS interface is better, in my opinion, and I like how it works. That, of course, is a personal opinion. I know many, many people who don't like Apple because of their restrictive policies, but I'm not one of them.
I don't want to get into a Apple vs Android thing. Both are good and have their strong points, and weak points. Some like both, some only one. As I said, I like the Evo 3d a lot, and if I keep it, that's fine with me, I can live with that. If I can change back to an iPhone, I know I'll like that more because that's my preference.

Finally decided to drop the EVO 4G for the 3D. Liking it so far!
