Ordered mine yesterday, just got it today. Great phone, but I wouldn't call it the successor to the 4G ..here's hoping that they come out with the true Evo 4G2!:)

3D is very good. For me, very easy to see looking at the phone from any angle. But there is a sweet spot for the best viewing. Kinda looks like a holograph, but a lot finer.

Side by Side next to the OG, the OG screen is bigger ..everything is bigger. The clock and all the widets, but not by much. The OG is also brighter and the whites look white not yellowish. Possibly have something to do with the parallax barrier.

Man, this phone is fast. Really fast! Faster than the OG. Well worth an upgrade!

Anyone able to view the Green Hornet movie? Mine keeps trying to download some license and then fails.
 
I got mine about an hour ago. UPS was dropping it off right as I pulled in the garage from work. Have the whole night to play with it now.
 
Congrats to all those who got their brand new EVO 3D. I'm sure you guys are all excited. As for me, I'm sticking to my OG EVO until next years EVOlution. ;)
 
Ok, spiderman does not work ..it got stuck on downloading. It ask me to download again and when I click yes, it does nothing!

When I try to watch green hornet it said something about 0 licenses left ..but now it sits there forever saying Downloading license.. I'm using wifi and hoefully this is just the servers being bombarded from new and joyful Evo 3D customers!

Me too. I got the 3VO for my wife. I'm keeping the EVO 4G. Rooting it is like having a new phone. Don't need a 3D phone or anything else until the EVO 2012 version comes out. (Unless that Nexus 3 phone is just too unreal to pass up.)

Bummer about bootloader, hopefully they will update it to be unlocked soon.

Still undecided about pulling the trigger now, or waiting til 7/1 to see if any announcements on the Samsung Galaxy S2...

I love my Evo, it works great, so I could wait for another week or two... what to do... :confused:
 
Sitting @ my favorite saloon w/a tall 20oz cold beverage playing with the EVO 3s. Just picked it up from the Sprint store. Almost had to pry it from the reps hands, he was playing with it showing me how everything works LOL.

Im in the same boat with you. So tempted to use my upgrade and get this phone, but knowing my luck as soon as I do Sprint will release dates on the SGS2 or Photon and Ill be stuck. So Im going to just wait a bit longer and see what happens. Worse case, at least Ill get to read real reviews of the 3vo 2 weeks from now after the newness wears off and make sure its going to be the right phone for me.

You're right. Plus I baby my phones, put screen protectors on them, cases etc. Right now I'd have to carry my Evo 3D naked if I got it, which I don't like, so holding off for a few weeks is probably the right call.

Not totally naked, lol. I am going to order a case off ebay and get overnight delivery, and I will hit Best Buy after work and get a generic screen protector made for the Sensation.
 
i had to leave for the job this am after posting.. just got in and still have not even taken the phone out of the box. im devoted to reading here and helping out the site first.. THEN after i do my work here i can play.. ooh guess i should charge it up too...

Still waiting :( although my case came in already, kinda has a 3d' ish effect to it. Nevermind just got a txt from my gf that it arrived. I ordered mine at 9:30 ish cali time so I'm happy I got it today.
 
Ah, finally! I'm actually glad UPS waited until 5pm to deliver it -- way too much work to do to leave early today. Did the ESN swap (had to chat with a slow-typing, but helpful sprint rep online, because I left my old phone on), and now it's back on the charger while I type this. I only turned it on long enough to make sure it was activated correctly, so I have yet to play with it!

Alright, I gave it like, five minutes of juice. That's long enough! Time to play with the new toy.....
