Here's a good comparison of white balance. Evo 4G was horrendous.

Novox -- which screen version did you have on the Evo 4G? I know that the Launch day evos with the Novatel versus the later Epsons appeared to have different white balances/color saturations.

I've got a release day Evo 4G that had a screen replacement through warranty.

It does not look like the washed ont Evo 4G here. More like the normal colors (gray) shown in this pic with the Evo3D
 
Can I just say I'm very jealous I pre ordered my evo 3d last Friday at my local sprint store and I'm a sprint premier silver customer..so I could have did the first to buy as well and didn't even cross my.mind :( :( so now I'm stuck waiting until .tomorrow and I work until 2pm but right after work sprint here I come!!! Haha I can't wait to have it !!!! The 3d I'm sure is bad ass how's sense 3.0!? And Il be posting in here tomorrow!!! Can't wait !!!! I just hope the 3d shows up our evos so it wasn't a bad idea to switch cause I love my evo :( but 3d and 4gb of memory internal and 1gb of RAM def sold me!!! :-) :-) :-) have fun lucky guys lol Il join ya tomorrow!!!!!
 
One full day with the phone so far. Liking it.

Some aspects the 3d piece seems very gimmicky..... but after watching some 3D youtube videos I start to like it more.

Going to try Green Hornet tonight :)

Battery Life seems ooooooh so much better too.

I'm a fairly new Android user so I imagine I have a lot of power saving settings wrong. Even so, I got about 5 hours of continuous use out of mine today before I hit the 15% mark. I literally picked it up and didn't put it down for about 5 hours. :o
 
I can tell you boys and girls when you receive your new toy, you will be impressed. you can delete most of the Sprint Bloatware from the application settings. you have a built in task manger, pretty neat, did I tell you the Sense 3.0 is sweet, lol 3D pics are pretty amazing, transition between screens are smooth and neat, and you can keep on scrolling. So far I wish the speaker could be a little louder, Blue tooth works great so far, no lag on calls like we had with the Hero before I rooted.
 
Mine was just dropped off about an hour ago... along with a nice package from amazon with some screen protectors. Trying out the Great Shield brand as it had prime shipping available. the seem ok, will post more after I get one on the phone.

FYI i ordered through EVP since I am on sero and they shipped tues GROUND but at least it only took 2 days. Overall a nice way to order if you are on sero since you have to go through sprint. Phone is charging but should be about ready to fire up. now should I accept the stupid ota or not lol.
 
Sorry for the late reply. I have a Nova screen.

I would think anyone with the S-LCD screens would have MUCH better color reproduction.
 
I cancelled the first ota and no other updates have come.
Probably doesn't matter as both bootloaders are locked up tight.
Maybe its update time after all.
 
My battery life has been decent. wifi only, installed a ton of apps, reconfigured most of them, had the screen on a lot. 15% drain today. Total use, about 2 hours. Rest is just sitting idle.

I also ordered the Great Shields from Amazon!
I'm curious to know how you like them. Do they have a "tacky" feel or do they feel about as good as the naked screen? Do they distort 2D or 3D images?
Here's to hoping they're good!

lol. no tacky feel at all. to me its almost just like using the naked screen.
i don't notice any visible affect on the screen although it is fairly dark in here.

Me too. I didn't get the Best Buy call till 5pm so I thought the worst, but I will be there at 8am tomorrow morning to get mine, then I have a nice 4hr car ride to a wedding I'm shooting this weekend. I'll be too busy to really play with it, but yeah.

As an IT guy for a living, dual core awesomeness is EPIC. :D
