I have officially been throttled!

Yeah I have 0mb used on my plan and I get 1.5mbps from 192kbps regularly after changing my proxy address and ports to zero and changing IP's. I use Pandora, google maps.. and all that.

I think the blanking of the proxy is what is saving our ass from having to deal with that. Also I know that apps like set DNS are affected by service provider proxy (even if DNS sticks it doesn't do anything in terms of speed using google servers or opendns server because of it being throttled or bottlenecking by the proxy). Also Droid VPN and open VPN can circumvent throttling by tunneling and part of that is avoiding service provider proxies (assuming you are connected to a close fast server, you can get faster speeds- I use it for... um- "stuff"). I could be wrong, but this is what I have extrapolated from what I have read about issues some people have with DNS apps. If I'm wrong you will have to excuse me, while I am tech savy, I am a bit of a luddite compared to some of the phreaks on here. All I know for sure is that I go fast and boost isn't doing anything about it.

Also, I'm not sure because I have avoided the b10 update, but I think sticking with b08 has circumvented this new throttling folder that updated users are finding that other people aren't.

While it would be nice to have CM10- if I can't maintain what I have set up, I'm not flashing. Nope.
