Just got the update. Took about 20 minutes, ran a full benchmark and went from 539 to 1184...

Just finshed charging so will see if it is a true 'full' charge without a bump...
 
Froyo Is Awesome! . the phone is much faster. , updated icons, updated messenger is nice, flashlight app allows you to use the dual leds, new widgets for radio, email, and messages, mobile hotspot, new lockscreen, new lockscreen password allows you to creat any type of password, full flash capable, and people download the voice actions app. its incredible. no pun intended. You can update all your apps at once, and the phone doesnt lag like it used to . so much more features. cant write it all at once. Its like i got a brand new phone. Finally FROYO IS HERE!

if it reads 2.2 then you have it. if it reads 2.1 then you can either wait for the OTA update, or update it yourself with the file in the update.zip thread.

Awesome, Thanks!! I have 2.1 update1, so I guess I don't have it...will the update come through to the phone or do I HAVE to use that file above?

Nope, the file is OTA (Over The Air) and you will be notified when you are eligible to perform the upgrade. You do have the right and ability to do the update.zip file yourself, but that is a personal choice.

Ughhh, I live in NY and haven't gotten it yet!! Will the update just pop up or do I have to be "looking" for it??

And now that I'm intensely WAITING for it, I'll definitely be the one to get it LAST!!

dont forget 720p and also being able to use your flash for recording those indoor shots;)

For me, there was just a notification that an update was ready to install (I guess I wasn't paying attention when it started downloading?). And it told me it wanted to shut down and do the install, giving the options to do that or to wait.
 
YES!! Got it in Denver. Finally. I just got the Incredible in early July, and was all over it, now it's like a new phone again and need to learn and play with it all over again. :)
 
Okay I woke up with the OTA ready to install
Hit install
It went through the whole process
then I get to my super cool new boot animation.......its been stuck at the eye for 30 mins now should i do a battery pull?
 
Woke up to install screen on my phone this morning.. :) it is installed :) Now to check it out for any noticeable differences. Fresno, CA
 
Still no Froyo in Los Angeles for me.

I tried the date trick but it just keeps going back to todays date within a couple of seconds.

Man this is frustrating. I know I could do in manually but I am determined to see how long it will really take to get to me.
